The New View for G2

Hello all,

It has been a while since our last post...we have been working on a shift in artwork from the

TRAD (traditional) comic art to fine art/digital painting. We want to present a more realistic approach to storytelling; and realism seems to fit our genre the best. We hope our fans and followers will be able to wait patiently as the process for the next few books (Antic 1&2 and The Triad #3) will be released a bit later than expected. We assure you all that the wait will be all but futile. Check out the website on March 26th for the new art as well as another revision to the site (yeah, i know). At this point in our endeavor, we ask for feedback more than ever. Constructive criticism will ultimately effect the quality of our books and for the experience of new readers. We hope to hear from you and we look forward to bringing you more great titles from the world of G2 soon!

Triad Turns to Quarterly

We are shifting gears here at G2 to unveil our new style of art sooner than we had anticipated. Eric and I decided to keep the Triad series as a quarterly series (because that's how its been so far), and release Antic: The Chapters of Levith in March instead. I am planning a release party for Antic which will have more bulk to it due to the amount of work we have going this year. I am working on putting together a concept art/preview book for Antic and R.E.D.D. KROSS before the actual release, so keep an eye out for that. We will be unveiling the characters for both books at the Spector Club Comic Show on Feb 28th. Need more info...go to: www.g2comics.com.

Triad Wrap Up

The Triad series will be coming to a close in the next couple of months with #3 and 4 wrapping up the adventures of the elected three as a team (spoiler?). We have many other books starring the characters from the Triad Universe, which will dawn a new style of art and a new image of G2 Comics. I hope you all enjoy the Triad Series wrap up and look forward to a great collection of titles to come starting in March with Antic: The Chapters of Levith, and May/June with R.E.D.D. KROSS, and many other titles to be revealed later this year.

Look for us at the Spector Club Comic Shows, Wizard World Chicago: Artist's Alley, and Project Comic Con 2 in St. Louis this year.

The pressure is on

Hey all!

The Triad #2 is available for purchase at our stores, on our site, and directly from Eric and Daniel...if you can ever catch us!!

We have been in contact with the guys that are putting on the big Project Comic Con 2 in St. Louis (August), and will hopefully have a table there. We will be in Chicago in August as well for the big WIZARD WORLD CHICAGO con that we attended last year. The pressure builds for Daniel to keep up with each issue on top of creating art for promo material for the cons.

We will have more of the sketches on the site by the end of the week, and hopefully a color preview by next Monday!

Updates!

Hey all! Daniel's sketches are now being uploaded every couple of days to the Sketchbook section of our gallery. Eric and I are having a meeting tonight to discuss our game plan for the new year. I am considering moving Antic up to February, and releasing The Triad #3 in March. The Triad #3 will be 28 pages long, and include a gallery of work from Antic and Triad concepts. The Triad #4 will end the Triad series (for now), and will have a preview of The Triad Arc: R.E.D.D. Kross. This series will lend a more human perspective to the universe. I will send out a post of our official dates once we get it figured out. Some pencils for The Triad #3 will be on the site in the next couple of days. The Triad #2 releases at the beginning of Jan.

Writer's Update

Things continue to move forward at G2. Along with Daniel's progress in the studio, Eric has finished up the script for R.E.D.D. Kross #1 and is starting on R.E.D.D. Kross #2! It will be a while before we see these in print, but they should be released in 2010. Personally I am excited to see more on the Antic project Daniel has been working on, as this is his own project and it's been some super-top-secret stuff, aside from his occasional sketch-work and a general synopsis. Check out the "Archer" sketch on the Sketchbook link! It should be really cool stuff with the new style Daniel is working to perfect! - EJG

Back in the Saddle

Hello all! After a couple of months, things are starting to move again. I updated our website, and am currently working on the pencils for The Triad #3, which will be out Jan / Feb 2010. We have a couple of huge deals working in the background that i will be keeping you all informed on during the next couple of months. Look for G2 Comics on Indyplanet and Comicsmonkey.
